Belleview here means the City of Belleview in Marion County, ZIP 34420, south of Ocala. It is its own incorporated city, separate from the City of Ocala, and part of the Ocala metro area. The city says it was founded in 1884 around Nine Mile Pond, now Lake Lillian. Belleview is a city, not a single subdivision, so homes here sit in many different neighborhoods with different rules. What it is like to live here
Lake Lillian is the city’s focal point, with a fishing dock, picnic pavilions, a walking trail, and an enclosed playground. The Belleview Sports Complex is an 80-acre park with football, softball, baseball, and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, a playground, and a walking trail. The city also lists a community center, Fred King Park, and the Wilma Loar Splash Park, and it hosts events such as Founder’s Day and the Friday Foodie Fest at Lake Lillian.
