What it is like to live here
The city describes Wildwood as a small-town community known for its natural beauty. Its history dates to 1877, the railroad arrived in 1883, and the Florida Legislature validated the city’s incorporation in 1889. The 2020 census counted 15,730 residents. The city’s homepage lists events such as Spooktacular, Eggstravaganza, and fireworks, along with a monthly newsletter.
Age rules and neighborhoods
Wildwood is not age-restricted as a city. The Villages says at least one member of the household must be 55 and no full-time resident may be younger than 19, and that rule applies to The Villages, not to Wildwood as a whole. Getting around
