Del Webb Stone Creek is a gated community in southwest Ocala, Florida, run by Stone Creek Community Association, Inc. It is the Del Webb community, not another Stone Creek in a different Florida city or another state. The association’s own website describes it as “a gated, 55+ active adult community,” and Del Webb’s community page calls it “Del Webb’s Stone Creek 55+ community.” That age status is the community’s own, so anyone planning to buy should read the governing documents first. Daily life here is built around the amenities the community names on its own sites. There is a resort-style pool, a fitness center, and several game courts. A full-time lifestyle director runs events from the Lifestyle Office in the Stonewater Club. Del Webb’s page adds an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, a ballroom with live music, charter clubs, 16 pickleball courts, bocce, tennis, softball, a fishing pier, and The Grille restaurant and bar.

Indoors, the community lists two clubhouses, the renovated Reunion Center and the Stonewater Club. Between them are the Saratoga Cafe, billiards, a golf simulator, and rooms for card and TV games. The Elan Spa sits at 6101 SW 89th Court Road. There is also a dog park, a community garden, and RV space that owners can rent through the association office. A group of trained resident volunteers forms the community’s Emergency Response Team.

Stone Creek Golf Club is the 18-hole championship course inside the community. It opened in 2008, was designed by Terry Doss, and plays 7,221 yards. On size, the community’s resident portal says Stone Creek is planned to include 4,000 homes. That is the plan for the whole community, not a count of homes built today, so treat it as the scale of the master plan rather than a headcount.

Homes and prices

Del Webb, a PulteGroup brand, is the builder behind Stone Creek. The homes you will see in the live search are the ones owners have chosen to list, and the selection changes from week to week.

Stone Creek is one of several 55+ communities in southwest Ocala, and each one is its own place with its own rules. Oak Run and On Top of the World are separate communities nearby, and Stone Creek is not part of either. Nothing on Stone Creek’s official sites ties it to On Top of the World.

Renting and owning from out of town

Leasing at Stone Creek exists and is documented. The association’s new-homeowner documents include a “Lease Rider and Affidavit of Member” and a “Non-Owner Resident Form.” That shows the association has a process for leasing.

The details are not published on the public pages. That includes the minimum lease length, how often a home can be leased, and how approval works. Anyone who is thinking about buying a Stone Creek home to rent, or who has inherited one and is weighing a rental, should get those rules in writing from the association before building a plan around rental income. Ask to see the lease rider and the non-owner resident form themselves, and read them before you make an offer, not after closing.
